Sunday Seven - 52nd Edition

Happy Mother's Day

As we welcome a beautiful Mother's Day weekend, we invite you to end this week and begin the next by --

Telling 7 memories of your mother;
Telling 7 qualities you admire about your mother;
Listing 7 reasons you are glad to BE a mother; or
Making 7 ways in which you plan to be a better mother than you have been in the past.

If you are not in the Mother's Day frame of mind, you can, as usual --

Reflect on things you're grateful for or seven meaningful events from the past week;
Anticipate (and allow us to anticipate vicariously) upcoming events on your horizon;
Celebrate steps of progress you've make toward a goal;
Recognize acts of kindness you have observed or performed;
Request support for the week coming up -- let us know what you're concerned about;
Inspire and enlighten us-- if new understandings have come your way.

We invite you to link with each of us in sharing these joys, concerns, victories, or epiphanies. Let's take our minds away, for a couple of days, from the task of just "making it through the day" and focus on inner growth, self-improvement, new understanding, and thankfulness. As a community, we can each take strength from each other and offer encouragement to others as we get to know each other better.

Sunday Seven - 51st Edition

Welcome to the 51st edition of SUNDAY SEVEN.
We'd like to share in your thanksgivings or concerns as we take time on the weekend to consider and evaluate the course of our lives. So.....
What are you thankful for this weekend?
What has gone well for you?
What have you struggled with?
What events have you enjoyed?
Who are the people whose lives have intersected positively with yours?
What particular concerns are on your mind?
Write your Sunday Seven, and then hurry back to give us the URL for it so we can visit and read it.

Your post can tell what has:

  • made you smile

Take time now for:

  • -Reflecting on seven things you're grateful for or seven meaningful events from the past week;

I guess this edition should be called Weekend Seven instead of the usual Sunday Seven. Since I will be out of town and possibly out of internet-reach Saturday and Sunday, I will post our weekly invitation early!

Join us Sunday Seveners this week in appreciating life. Here's how: Just write a post on your blog and link it here so we can all visit. You post can tell ......... what has touched your heart . . . made you smile . . . prompted you to say "thank you" . . . made you appreciate your life even more?

Sunday Seven - 48th Edition

Because I strongly believe that the expression of gratitude builds more gratitude and leads to a positive life direction, I wouldn't like to see Sunday Seven fall by the wayside. So, in response to Carol's request, I will host Sunday Seven as best I can until her life's pace settles down a bit and she can take back over the reins of this meme.

That said, let the positive sharing begin!

Welcome to the 48th Edition of Sunday Seven!!

As usual, we invite you to link with each of us in sharing our joys, concerns, victories, epiphanies, or whatever else you'd like to share. Our goal is to become a community in which we can take our minds away, for a couple of days, from the task of just "making it through the day" and focus on inner growth, self-improvement, new understanding, and thankfulness. As a community, we can each take strength from each other and offer encouragement to others as we get to know each other better.

When you have posted your Sunday Seven entry, leave a comment here, so that each of us can come by and read what you've had to say. I'll get mine posted when the sun goes down -- it is too absolutely gorgeous outside to sit at the computer right now!

Happy Weekend!

What's with Sunday Seven

Several people have asked me about Sunday Seven. What's going on with it? Why has it been inactive, etc. I work full time, and in addition to that I maintain three other blogs and two other websites. I just don't have time to keep up with Sunday Seven. I LOVE Sunday Seven, and I think it's a wonderful meme. There are only 24 hours in a day, though, and I can't keep it maintained.

So, if you'd like to take it over, let me know. I'd be glad to turn over the "keys" to you.

Sunday Seven - 46th Edition

Happy Weekend, Sunday Seveners!

We're glad you are joining in the weekend celebration of the joy of living. In the belief that replaying and focusing on the positive aspects of our lives leads to a greater sense of gratefulness and a stronger desire to contribute positively to the world, and in the hope that we can gain strength and joy from sharing these with one another, we Sunday Seveners take one blogging opportunity each week to share seven blessings, joys, or tidbits of news from the past week or seven expectations for the coming week.

If you are new to this site, welcome! We'd love to have you join us. Just write your post, take a header from this site if you'd like, leave us a comment so that we will know to come read your post, link your list to this site so that readers can find other Sunday Sevens to read, and then visit around to see what is happening in the lives of other participants in Sunday Seven. (You might also like to use Mr. Linky to create a link to this site for the information of any non-participants who read your blog.)

Happy Epiphany, Sunday Seveners!

The first Sunday in 2008 offers an opportunity for us to reflect on 2007. In what areas did my life meet its potential last year? How can I rearrange my priorities to make 2008 better? Here is your opportunity to end a week (and a year) and begin the next by --

  • Anticipating (and allowing us to anticipate vicariously) upcoming events on your horizon;
  • Celebrating steps of progress you've make toward a goal;
  • Recognizing acts of kindness you have observed or performed;
  • Requesting support for the week coming up -- let us know what you're concerned about;
  • Inspiring and enlightening us-- if new understandings have come your way.
